The strainshad genome sizes of 8.7, 6.9, and 7.9 Mb, with GC contents of 72, 73.5, and 72%, respectively. Genome-based phylogenetic analysis, including digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) and average nucleotide identity (ANI), confirmed the assignment of the strains to Streptomyces diastaticus, Streptomyces violaceoruber, and Streptomyces griseoincarnatusspecies, respectively. These analyses alsosupport the reclassification of Streptomyces labedae and Streptomyces tunisiensis as later heterotypic synonyms of Streptomyces griseoincarnatus. Accordingly, an emended description of S. griseoincarnatus is provided. Genome mining revealed the presence of multiple classes of BGCs, highlighting their biosynthetic potential. This study provides insights into intraspecies diversity within the genus Streptomyces and underscores its biotechnological potential. - Received: - Version Posted: Funding - German Academic Exchange Service (Award 57588370) - Principal Award Recipient: Ulrike Tarazona Janampa
