Abstract
Objective:To detect the role of P53 in the developement of endometriosis. Methods: Archived tissue samples of 30 eutopic, 25 eutopic,30 normal endometrium and 20 ovarian cancer were selected and immunohistochemically analyzed for p53 and nm23-H1 expression. Results: The positive rate of p53 in ectopic endometrium was 20.0% (6/30),higher than that in normal endometrium and eutopic endometrium from endometriosis (P0.05). The expression of p53 in ovarian cancer was 50.0%(10/20),higher than that in endometriosis (P0.05). Conclusions: p53 may play an important role in particular malignant biological behaviour of endometriosis through their respective moclear mechanism.
