Abstract

Abstract As digital documents and signatures become more prevalent, the field of forensic document examination must adapt to detect forgeries effectively. Traditional methods, such as ink analysis and stroke pattern recognition, are often unsuitable for digitally signed or scanned documents. This paper presents a novel method for detecting forgeries by analyzing HEX/RGB color discrepancies in digital documents. By using Euclidean distance to measure the variation between RGB values of different parts of a signature or document, this method quantifies color inconsistencies, providing a non-invasive, objective means of determining forgery. The results indicate that this approach has strong potential to complement or replace traditional forensic methods in the digital age.
