Abstract
Objective To evaluate the quality of life(QOL)and its influencing factors in adenomyosis-associated dysmenorrhea patients. Methods Seventy-three adenomyosis-associated dysmenorrhea patients were chosen as the case group and 90healthy women at the same age were chosen as the control group.A cross-sectional survey method was used to collect the general information in both groups and the data on the course of disease, degree of dysmenorrhea,TCM pattern score, visual analog scale(VAS)score,CA125and uterine size in the case group. The QOL was evaluated according to the 36-item short form health survey(SF-36).The factors influencing QOL was analyzed and screened with multiple stepwise regression analysis. Results Totally 163valid questionnaires were included, with 73and 90in the case group and control group respectively.Comparing with the control group, the scores of vitality, physical role function, social function, bodily pain and general health in the SF-36in the case group were significantly lower(P0.01).The multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between dysmenorrhea score,TCM pattern score,VAS score,CA125,uterine size and QOL.There was no reasonable correlation coefficient between QOL and age, duration and patterns. Conclusion The QOL in adenomyosis-associated dysmenorrhea patients is generally lower than that in the healthy persons.Small sample study cannot show correlation between dysmenorrhea score,TCM pattern score,VAS score,CA125and QOL.
