Abstract

Although endometriosis is frequently encountered in females of reproductive age, bladder endometriosis is relatively rare, representing less than 1% of all endometriosis cases. One must take particular care, however, to define bladder endometriosis clearly as full-thickness detrusor lesions. Indeed, small implants and small nodules of the vesicouterine fornix cannot be considered as bladder endometriosis.
