Abstract

Women’s reproductive and hormonal disorders, including polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, and female infertility, are on the rise along with an increase in rates of obesity, overconsumption of ultra-processed foods, sedentary behavior, sleep deprivation, stress, opioid use, and other unhealthy lifestyle patterns. This chapter lays out the aforementioned hormonal disorders with a focus on evidence-based therapeutic lifestyle modifications to address these disease processes. This includes incorporating healthy eating, moderate exercise, adequate restful sleep, avoidance of risky substances, stress management, and fostering positive, good-quality relationships with others.
