Immunohistochemical characterization of a monoclonal antibody detecting an endometrioid ovarian cancer-associated antigen
The researchers developed a murine monoclonal antibody designated FEN-1 by immunizing mice with an antigen purified from endometrioid ovarian cancer ascites. Immunohistochemical analysis demonstrated that this IgG3 antibody specifically reacts with 100% of endometrioid ovarian cancers containing adenoacanthoma in paraffin-embedded tissues. The study explicitly noted that the antibody showed no reactivity against endometriosis, normal ovary, normal endometrium, or various other tumor types, confirming its specificity for the target malignancy.
