Diagnosis and therapy of abdominal incision endometriosis

Abstract

Objective To analyze the diagnosis and therapy of abdominal incision endometriosis (AIEM). Methods A total of 43 AIME patients from January 2008 to March 2016 were selected, the clinical symptoms and auxiliary examination results were analyzed, and were treated by drugs or surgery. Followed up for 3 to 12 months after surgery, the efficacy was observed. Results The abdominal mass in the fat layer was 32 cases, which deep to the rectus muscle was 9 cases, which deep to the peritoneum was 2 cases. Followed up for 3 to 12 months, clinical symptoms disappeared in 43 cases, and no patient recured. Conclusions AIEM is easy to diagnose, and the first choice for the treatment of the disease is surgery. Intraoperative prevention and postoperative medication can effectively reduce the recurrence rate. Key words: Abdominal incision endometriosis; Cesarean section; Comprehensive prevention
