Abstract
Purpose To investigate the expressions of ER, PR and bcl-2 in the pathogenesis of adenomyosis uterus. Methods The expressions of ER, PR and bcl-2 in 40 cases of adenomyosis uterus were detected by immunohistochemical EnVision method. Results Both the eutopic and ectopic endometrium in 40 cases showed positive for ER, PR and bcl-2 (P0.05). The strong positive rate in the eutopic endometrium was significantly higher than that in the stroma cells (P0.05). The expression of bcl-2 increased significantly in ectopic endometrium was slightly than those in eutopic endometrium (P0.05). The expression of ER and PR had a positive correlation with the expression of bcl-2 (P0.01). Conclusions ER, PR and bcl-2 may play an important roles in promoting the development of adenomyosis.
