Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of assisted reproductive techniques to treat infertile women with endometriosis. Methods 81 infertile women with endometriosis were treated by using in vitro fertilization (IVF, 52 cases)or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI, 29cases).After treatment, the outcome of fertilization and pregnancy were observed. Results 30 infertile women among 81 cases obtained their pregnancies after treatment, and the pregnancy rate was 37.64%. 6 patients had abortion, and the abortion rate was 20%.There was no significant difference on fertilization rates, preganancy rates and born rates among these patients with different endometriosis phases (P0.05).IVF and ICSI could have the similar efficacy on fertilization rates cleavage rates, and pregnancy rates (P0.05).Conclusion Assisted reproductive techniques would be effective methods to treat infertile women with endometriosis.Treatment effect of IVF and ICSI are similar.
