Abstract

(Abstracted from Urogynecology (Phila) 2025;31(2):115–122) Chronic pain affects an estimated 11% to 40% of people in the United States and has been shown to affect quality of life and relationships as well as to be associated with loss of employment and disability. In addition, it represents a large financial burden related to healthcare costs, at an estimated $635 billion annually.
