Effects of NF-κB and TNF-α on Endometriosis

Objective: The expression of NF-κB in the tissue of endometria and tumor necrosis factor-α in serum in endometriosis patients were measured to investigate the relationship between NF-κB,TNF-α and endometriosis.Methods: Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay method was applied to detect the the expression of TNF-α.The expression of NF-κB was detected by immunohistochemistry method.Results: The TNF-α serum level of endometriosis patients was significantly higher compared to the normal control(P 0.01).The expression of NF-κB was major located in epithelioglandular kytoplasm of trusion-endometriosis,and the expression of NF-κB during progestational stage was higher than that in proliferative stage(P 0.05).Conclusion: The abnormal expression of NF-κB and TNF-α were related to endometriosis.
