Prevention of oral contraceptive in cervical endometriosis after cervical microwave therapy

OBJECTIVE To study the prevention of oral contraceptive in cervical endometriosis after cervical microwave therapy.METHODS Seventy-six cases of moderate and severe cervical erosion were divided into two groups.Control group with forty cases were given only antibiotics after therapy, experimental group with thirty-six cases were given antibiotics and oral contraceptive.Gynecologic and colposcopic examination were done at one months,one and half months,two months,three months,four months,eight months after treatment, and probable focus was received biopsy.RESULTS Curative rates of control group were 77.5% one month,95% one and half months,100% two months; experimental group were 80.56% one month,97.23% one and half months,100% two months. There was no significant difference between them (P0.05).There was no significant difference of the incidence rate of cervical endometriosis after cervical microwave therapy in control group 15% compared with experimental group 0%(P0.05).CONCLUSION More clinical trials are needed to evaluate if oral contraceptive probably prevent cervical endometriosis after cervical microwave therapy.
