Abstract
Objective:To investigate the improvement of dysmenorrhea and pregnancy after lesion resection of adenomyosis. Methods:The clinical data of 59 patients who accepted open or laparoscopic lesion resection of adenomyosis from Jan.2003 to Dec.2008 were retrospectively analyzed. Results:All operations were successful. There was not difference in operative time between laparoscopic and open operation, and the blood loss of laparoscopic operation was less.44 of 52(84.6%) women with dysmenorrhea were alleviated.12 of 30 women who suffered from infertility conceived after surgery. Conclusions:The lesion resection of adenomyosis is a safe and effective procedure to significantly reduce the extent of dysmenorrhea, increase postoperative pregnancy rate, and preserve their fertility ability.
