Abstract

Objective To evaluate role of serum CA125 level combined with serum CA199 level in diagnosing endometriosis. Methods 93 women with pelvic endometriosis confirmed by pathology(EM group) and 45 women without endometriosis(control group) were detected of serum CA125 and CA199 level with magnetic antibody immunity assay one day before surgery. And 48 women with endometriosis were detected of serum CA125 and CA199 level one month after surgery. Results The average levels of serum CA125(40.02±41.87) and CA199(25.08±23.76) of EM group were all obviously higher than the control group(P0.01).The specificity and sensitivity of serum CA125 of EM group was 34.92% and 73.10% respectively, and CA199 was 19.05% and 79.31%.If standardized by both positive of serum CA125 and CA199,the sensitivity descended to be 18.71%,specificity increased to be 100%.Difference in serum CA125 and CA199 level of 48 women with endometriosis between previons day before surgery and one month after surgery was significant(P0.01).Conclusion Serum CA125 level combined with serum CA199 level has an important value in the diagnosis of endometriosis and improves the diagnostic accuracy for endometriosis.Postoperative detection is helpful for observeing efficacy
