Kvinnors upplevelse av att leva med Endometrios : En litteraturstudie
This literature review analyzes eleven qualitative studies to describe the lived experiences of women diagnosed with endometriosis. The analysis identifies four main categories: feeling inadequate as a woman, viewing the disease as a private matter, experiencing limitations and control, and facing dismissal or ignorance from healthcare providers. The findings indicate that women consistently require respectful treatment and validation to feel safe seeking help and developing coping strategies for their condition. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — specifically focusing on the patient experience and psychosocial impact of living with the disease.
