La Covid-19 y el vacío de la postpolítica. Hacia un Estado más allá de la nación (COVID-19 and the Post-Political Void. toward a State Beyond the Nation)

Spanish Abstract: ¿Hay una esfera pública postnacional en formación?Este artículo responde a esta preguntatomando como punto de observación la pandemiapor la Covid-19 y la presión que induce enel orden global y en el Estado-nación. A partirde una descripción del uso errático y fragmentariodel poder para el manejo de la pandemiase examina la transformación de la soberaníaen la historia de Estado nacional, se replanteala situación de los derechos humanos y la “brechade la justicia” en este proceso y se ofrece unaapreciación de las probables alternativas que se juegan en las tendencias globales del poder públicoen la postpandemia.English Abstract: Is a post-national public sphere forming? This article answers this question based on the observation of the COVID-19 pandemic’s pressure on the global order and the nation-state. Using a description of the erratic and fragmented use of power for the management of the pandemic, this work examines the transformation of sovereignty in the history of the nation-state, addresses the situation of human rights and the “justice gap” present in this process anew, and offers an assessment of the probable alternatives at play in global trends shaping public power in the aftermath of the pandemic.
