Abstract

Echography and laparoscopy were used as additional methods for the investigation of 100 uterine myoma patients with suspected trophic disturbance in the tumor, and their results were compared with morphologic findings in the resected tumors. In this way, echography was shown to be a valuable additional diagnostic test for trophic disorders in the uterine myomas. Necrotic and dystrophic changes in the tumor are not an indication for urgent and extended surgery.
