This study employs an analytical approach to investigate the internal stability of reinforced earth wall under mobilized transverse force. The study considers the realistic non-linear response of the c - ø backfill and employs the pseudo-static method through the application of limit equilibrium theory. Although there are only a few available studies on this topic, this research aims to provide valuable insights. The findings are illustrated in terms of the safety factors due to the transverse displacement of an inextensible sheet reinforcement. The normal stress-displacement response due to transverse force or displacement is evaluated for non-linear responses of the backfill, assuming complete mobilization of shear resistance at the soil-reinforcement contact surface. Parametric analyses are performed to evaluate the impact of safety factors ( SF a and SF T ), shear strength parameters ( c and ø ), surcharge ( q ), interface friction angle ( ø r ), length of reinforcement ( L ), and number of reinforcement layers ( n ) under seismic conditions.
