Abstract

Background. In modern conditions, the search for the most rational drug provision of medical and preventive institutions is relevant, which deserves special attention from the point of view of saving financial resources. In this regard, it seems scientifically sound to calculate the pharmacoeconomic feasibility of using the methods we have developed for preventing miscarriage in women with endometriosis and uterine fibroids at the stage of providing both inpatient and outpatient care. Objective: to calculate the economic efficiency of the developed medical technologies for preventing miscarriage in women with combined gynecological pathology: endometriosis and uterine fibroids to prove the rationality of using the funds and improving the quality of medical care. Methods. During the study, an assessment of the economic efficiency of the developed methods was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus No. 159-11203 dated 31.12.2003 "Methodologies for calculating the efficiency of medical technologies in health care" with the calculation of costs for optimized treatment of women with a high risk of relapse of diseases. Results: For the group of women with endometriosis (n=189), the economic effect from the implementation of new medical technologies using the proposed methodology was 1,596,874.23 rubles. For the group of women with uterine fibroids (n=153), the economic effect was 1,231,784.64 rubles. For the group of women with a combination of uterine fibroids and endometriosis (n=126), the economic effect was 1,174,640.04 rubles. For the period from Q1 2023 to Q4 2024, the economic effect from scientific and practical developments on task 01.05. "Develop and implement a method for medical prevention of miscarriage in women with combined gynecological pathology: endometriosis and uterine fibroids in reproductive age" totaled 4,003,298.91 rubles. The calculated data we have obtained demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed medical technologies and allow not only to prevent the recurrence of endometriosis and uterine fibroids, as well as their combinations, but also to achieve significant cost savings due to the prevention of miscarriage, to prove the rationality of using funds, improving the quality of medical care by selecting methods with an optimal price/quality ratio, influencing the main clinical and economic indicators and the subsequent interpretation of data from the position of the researcher, the source of costs, the selected nosology. Conclusion. Determining economic efficiency allows a differentiated approach to the selection of the developed methods with the calculation of coefficients, the interpretation of which is possible in the conditions of healthcare institutions. The possibility of using such an approach based on the objectification of medical technologies and their positioning in a specific competitive environment will ensure a fair distribution of resources in the healthcare system.
