Clinical observation of low dose of mifepristone in the treatment of adenomyosis

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of low dose of mifepristone in the treatment of adenomyosis. Methods: Chose 50 cases with adenomyosis in our hospital from June 2009 to June 2011, who were treated with 10 mg/d of mifepristone, used six months, observed the changes of pain degree, menstrual cycle, menstrual period, uterine volume before and after drug. Results: The pain degree of 50 patients decreased significantly compared with that before drug, menstrual amount was reduced, menstrual cycle tended to be normal, uterine volume was reduced significantly, there was significant statistical difference (P0.05). Conclusion: The clinical effect of low dose of mifepristone in the treatment of adenomyosis is positive, it is worthy of clinical application.
