Abstract
Objectives: To investigate on the effect of the use of protective device in the cesarean section.Methods: Eight hundred cases of pregnant women,who received cesarean section delivery in our hospital from January,2007 to January,2008,were randomly divided into two groups.The experimental group was applied with protective device.The three year postoperative follow up was conducted to observe the wound infection and incisional endometriosis incidence.Results: One case in experimental group suffered from postoperative wound infection and no case was found to have incisional endometriosis.Twenty-one cases in the control group were found to have postoperative wound infection,and 3 cases having incisional endometriosis.Conclusion: The application of protective device in cesarean section can reduce postoperative wound infection and incisional endometriosis occurrence rate.Its application deserves promotion.
