Abstract
Objective To explore the curative effects of uterine arterial embolization for adenomyosis.Methods There were 18patients with adenomyosis diagnosed by MR,bilateral UAE was perfomed by Seldinger's technique in these patients.All these cases were followed up for 2 months after operation and the effect of UAE was obseved by MR.Results Two months after UAE,dysmenorrhe was alleviated obsviously in most of the patients(P0.01).The uterine volume was reduced from(208.5±70.9)cm3 to (176.7±57.2)cm3.Conclusion UAE is a minor trauma and effective treatment for adenomyosis.
