This longitudinal retrospective comparative study used medical records from January 2013 to December 2018 to describe and compare pregnancy outcomes in 94 patients undergoing IVF or ICSI for infertility due to endometriosis-associated infertility, tubal-factor infertility, or unexplained infertility. Outcomes assessed were delivery (labor), abortion, and ectopic pregnancy. Tubal-factor infertility was the most common cause (74.5%), ICSI was the most frequently performed method (78.7%), labor occurred in 69.1% of subjects, abortion occurred in the remainder, and no ectopic pregnancies were reported; importantly, pregnancy outcomes did not differ significantly by infertility cause (p=0.21). This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it includes endometriosis-associated infertility as one of the comparison groups when evaluating IVF/ICSI pregnancy outcomes.
