Abstract
The following systematic review aimed to analysethe relationship between alcohol consumption and family factors in adolescents aged 10-20 years in the Latin American context between 2015 and 2020, by researching scientific articles in virtual search platforms such as: Redalyc, Scielo, and Google Scholar. Method: qualitative, applied through a systematic review, whose purpose is to make use of criticism in an orderly, precise and analytical manner of the topic of interest while pointing out the similarities and inconsistencies in the literature analysed (Guirao, 2015). Results: It was possible to explain the relationship between alcohol consumption in adolescents and its relationship with family factors; typifying them according to their triggers, including family functionality, family communication, family cohesion, family perception, family permissiveness, family violence and resilience, internet management, social skills, sexual aggression, gender violence and sex and age. Conclusions: It was possible to identify that alcohol consumption in adolescents is related to family functionality due to the repetition of behavioural patterns caused by a family member and the relational dysfunctions experienced in the different stages of the family life cycle. Thus, it can be said that alcohol consumption is directly related to the family (Parra, 2020). Keywords: adolescents, alcohol consumption, family factors
