Abstract
Aim: The purpose of our study was to explore expression of interleukin-6(IL-6) mRNA in experimentally induced endometriosis in rat. Methods: The endometrium was examined by RT-PCR. Results: The expression of IL-6 mRNA in controls did not change at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks after sham operation (P0.05) , but in models it gradually increased at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks after endometriosis (P0.01). Conclusion: The IL-6 mRNA may be associate with the development of endometriosis.
