Abstract
Hush, little baby, don't you cry,You know that emotions lateralize.So, if you cry, then you should see,Less alpha to the right in the EEG.But the signal can be quite elusive to get,So we tried to find it in an open dataset.We processed in the recommended way,To see what different pipelines might convey.First we did what researchers often do,Ran repeated-measures ANOVAs the whole way through.But since normality can be quite a pest,We also ran a bunch of Friedman tests.But since we couldn't get any result out of them,We also ran like two hundred LMMs.But since their results were far from great,We also tried to repeated-measures correlate.In all this, the only results we could see,Were opposite to what they're supposed to be.So hush, baby, don't be furious,It seems like FAA is only spurious.
