Abstract

Dopamine agonists, such as cabergoline, lisuride, quinagolide, pergolide, ropinirole, pramipexole, amantadine and bromocryptine, are used in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment or prevention of endometriosis. Endometriosis is a benign gynaecological disease. The treatment of endometriosis reduces or removes the amount of endometrial tissue, comprising both grandular epithelium and stroma, which is present outside the uterine cavity.
