Efficacy and safety of diphereline combined with marvelon treatment for severe endometriosis

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of diphereline combined with marvelon in the treatment of severe endometriosis. Methods 82 patients w ith severe endometriosis( EMS) w ere divided into 2 groups by a random number table. Observation group( n = 40) w as given diphereline combined w ith marvelon,control group( n =42) was treated with marvelon,the treatment lasted for 6 months. The pain symptom score,reproductive hormone levels,ectopic lesion improvement and adverse reactions w ere observed. Results After treatment,the pain symptom scores decreased,and there were significant differences between the two groups after 3 and 6 months treatment( P 0. 05).The estradiol( E2),luteinizing hormone( LH) decreased after treatment,there w ere significant differences betw een the tw o groups( P 0. 05); no significant difference w as found in follicular estrogen hormone( FSH) after treatment( P 0. 05). After treatment,the sizes of ovarian cysts were significantly reduced,there were significant differences betw een the tw o groups( P 0. 05). The adverse reactions w ere mainly presented as gastrointestinal reactions,w eight gain,acne,there w as no significant difference in the rates of adverse reactions betw een the tw o groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion Diphereline combined with marvelon treatment for severe EMS patients with aparoscopic surgery can effectively improve the patient's pain,relieve low estrogen hyperlipidemia,reduce the ectopic lesions,it is safe and reliable.
