Abstract

Objective: To explore tetramethylpyrazine injection on VEGF expression in patients with postoperative recurrence of endometriosis. Methods: A total of 60 patients with endometriosis recurrence were randomly divided into two groups: observation group and control group.Another 15 normal healthy women were selected as normal control group. All 60 patients were given mifepristone, while patients in observation group received tetramethylpyrazine injection. The treatment lasted for 12 weeks. The incidence of side effect and E2 level were observed and compared.Five mL blood was obtained before and after treatment, and VEGF expression was determined by ELISA.Results: The incidence of dysmenorrhea and amenorrhea were decreased in observation group, with E2 level as high as level during follicular phase and with little side effect. After treatment,VEGF levels were significantly decreases in both groups. The difference in VEGF expression was also significant different between two groups. Conclusions: Tetramethylpyrazine injection is of little side effect and of high safety, without symptoms of estrogen deficiency. The ovulatory function has rapid recovery, and quick return of menses. It is helpful in impregnation.VEGF levels can be used as indicator for endometriosis recurrence.
