EVOLUTION OF SURGICAL APPROACHES TO THE TREATMENT OF OVARIAN ENDOMETRIOMAS IN THE CONTEXT OF REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE

This study summarizes current evidence on the evolution of surgical treatment for ovarian endometriomas in women of reproductive age. Based on an analysis of systematic reviews, meta- analyses, and international guidelines, contemporary trends in the development of surgical approaches were examined, and the effectiveness of laparoscopic cystectomy and ablative techniques was compared in terms of preservation of ovarian reserve, recurrence rates, and reproductive outcomes. The findings indicate that the current treatment strategy is based on the principles of personalized and organ- preserving surgery, while the choice of surgical technique should be guided by an individualized assessment of the clinical situation and the patient’s reproductive plans.
