Abstract
Background: Dermatomyositis occurs with aseptic purulent changes in the skin is relatively rare. T he purpose of this report is to explore the clinical characteristics, etiology, diagnosis a nd treatment of dermatomyositis combined with skin aseptic abscess.Case presentation We report a case of dermatomyositis and skin aseptic abscess. After combined treatm ent with hormones, cyclosporine and cyclophosphamide, the skin aseptic abscess was effectively controlled.Conclusion Dermatomyositis and skin aseptic abscess are rare, and active treatment of the primar y disease is an alternative treatment strategy.
