Abstract
The article is a comprehensive analysis of the economic impact of COVID-19 on Azerbaijan's aviation sector. Research shows that the decline in the aviation sector has affected not only aviation but also the tourism sector and small businesses at airports. Restrictions on air travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic have reduced Azerbaijan's revenues from foreign tourism as well as the transport sector. The sharp rise in prices in the air transport and tourism sectors, which are trying to compensate for the losses caused by the closures after the pandemic, has aggravated the situation. In this article, we explain the direct and indirect impact of the pandemic on air transport and other sectors of the economy related to this sector, look at the state of air transport before and after the pandemic, analyze future development plans of airlines, and offer solutions based on international experience.
