EFEITOS DA ELETROESTIMULAÇÃO NA DOR PÉLVICA CRÔNICA EM MULHERES COM ENDOMETRIOSE: REVISÃO DA LITERATURA

A endometriose é uma doença inflamatória crônica frequentemente associada à dor pélvica crônica, comprometendo significativamente a qualidade de vida das mulheres acometidas. Nesse contexto, a eletroestimulação tem sido utilizada como recurso fisioterapêutico complementar para o manejo da dor e melhora funcional. O presente estudo teve como objetivo revisar a literatura acerca dos efeitos da eletroestimulação na dor pélvica crônica em mulheres com endometriose, bem como comparar os principais protocolos de eletroanalgesia empregados na prática clínica. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada por meio de buscas nas bases de dados Scielo, PubMed, Google Scholar, Redalyc e PEDro, utilizando descritores em português e inglês relacionados à eletroestimulação, dor crônica, endometriose e fisioterapia. Foram incluídos estudos experimentais publicados nos últimos dez anos, disponíveis na íntegra e relacionados ao tema. Os resultados demonstraram que diferentes modalidades de eletroterapia, como a estimulação elétrica nervosa transcutânea (TENS), a estimulação elétrica neuromuscular (NMES), a eletroacupuntura e a estimulação transcraniana por corrente contínua (tDCS), apresentaram efeitos positivos na redução da dor, melhora da qualidade de vida, função sexual e aspectos emocionais. Além disso, a associação da eletroestimulação ao tratamento hormonal e outras terapias complementares potencializou os resultados clínicos. Contudo, observou-se grande heterogeneidade entre os protocolos utilizados, dificultando a padronização terapêutica. Conclui-se que a eletroestimulação representa uma alternativa eficaz e segura no manejo da dor pélvica crônica associada à endometriose, embora sejam necessários mais estudos com maior rigor metodológico e acompanhamento em longo prazo.
