Detection and clinical significance of soluble CD146 in peripheral blood and peritoneal fluid of patients with endometriosis

Abstract
Objective:To detect the levels of soluble CD146 in peripheral blood and peritoneal fluid of patients with endometriosis,explore its clinical significance. Methods:The serum samples and peritoneal fluid samples from 36 patients diagnosed as endometriosis definitely(endometriosis group) and 360 cases without endometriosis(control group) were collected,ELISA was used to detect the expression levels of soluble CD146 in peripheral blood and peritoneal fluid. Results:The expression levels of soluble CD146 in peripheral blood of endometriosis group during the whole menstrual cycle,at proliferative phase and secretory phase were(563.6±275.0),(488.9±201.8)and(600.9±304.1),respectively,which were significantly higher than those in peripheral blood of control group during the whole menstrual cycle,at proliferative phase and secretory phase [(376.2±133.5),(351.9±81.9) and(410.3±183.5),respectively](P0.01).The expression levels of soluble CD146 in peritoneal fluid of endometriosis group during the whole menstrual cycle,at proliferative phase and secretory phase were(844.1±264.1),(1013.3±295.6) and(759.5±208.0),respectively,which were significantly higher than those in peritoneal fluid of control group during the whole menstrual cycle,at proliferative phase and secretory phase [(536.4±221.1),(564.9±237.0) and(496.6±202.1),respectively](P0.01).There was no significant difference in expression levels of soluble CD146 in peripheral blood and peritoneal fluid between proliferative phase and secretory phase(P0.05).The expression levels of soluble CD146 in peritoneal fluid at proliferative phase and secretory phase were significantly higher than those in peripheral blood at proliferative phase and secretory phase. Conclusion:Soluble CD146 participates in the occurrence and development of endometriosis,without periodic change,and its expression is stable;targeted detection and antagonistic therapies may be a new pathway for clinical diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis.
