Abstract

Abstract We report on a comprehensive comparison of ring-diagram analyses of data from HMI and GONG, exploring the implications of the fundamental and elective differences in the GONG and HMI pipelines for ring-diagram flow determinations. The aim is to characterize any systematic differences in measurements of subsurface flows from the GONG pipeline and the HMI pipeline and to explore their origins.
