Abstract
Abstract The world is constantly changing with the advancement in technological changes resulting in a revolution of technology. It has become important for industries to adopt new and advanced technologies to survive. Industry 4.0 (I4.0) is a notion that originated with the German government's technical plan. I4.0 uses cutting-edge technology including artificial intelligence, big data, robots, cloud computing, etc. With a contribution of around 23% to the world's milk output, India is a top producer of the commodity.India has tremendous potential and is the country with the highest global milk production ranking. Successful implementation of I4.0 could bring a technological revolution where machines are connected to internet and thus could interact with each other and with humans. The research paper is a case study for evaluating the readiness level of dairy industry for implementing I4.0. A maturity model, Impuls maturity framework is used to study the readiness level of dairy industry using a survey method in different dairy plants of Delhi/ NCR region, Haryana, Mohali, and Chandigarh.
