Abstract

Objective To evaluate the relationship between progesterone receptor B gene inactivation and CpG methylation in endometriosis. Methods Methylating rate of CpG insulea of progesterone receptor PRA and PRB were detected by methylating PCR,and negative expression by immuno-histochemical method in 62 patients with endometriosis (test group) and 30 compared subjects (control group). And then we analyzed the correlation of positive expression of PRA and PRB with methylation. Results There was no significant difference found in methylating rate of endometrium PRA between test group and control group (P0.05);Significant difference was observed in methylating rate of PRB between the two groups (P0.01);The test group were significantly different from the control group in positive expression of PRB (P0.01).,while in positive expression of PRA they were not(P0.05);Methylation of PRB in the test group correlated with positive expression rate of immuno-histochemical PRB(P0.01)Conclusion CpG methylation may correlate with deletion of PRB gene expression in patients with endometriosis.
