Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the determination of sera CA125 and endometriosis antibody for diagnosis of endometriosis. METHODS In the sera form 45 patients with endometriosis and 30 patients with other disease, the CA125 was detected by using radioimmunoassay and endometriosis antibody by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. RESULTS The average content of CA125 in endometriosis group was (79±40) g/mL and in control group was (22±11) g/mL. The positive rate of endometriosis antibody was 55% in endometriosis group and 10% in control group. If the CA125 determined alone to diagnose endometriosis, the sensitivity was 75% and specificity was 83%, if the endometriosis antibody determined alone, the sensitivity was 55% and specificity was 90%. While the CA125 and endometriosis antibody were positive as the diagnostic criteria, the sensitivity and specificity were 48% and 100%, respectively, but one of them was used as the diagnostic criteria, the sensitivity and specificity were 82% and 73%. CONCLUSION The content determination from serum CA125 or endometriosis antibody has assistant value for qualitative diagnosis of endometriosis, but the two of combinative determination could more improve the diagnostic accuracy.
