Abstract

Objective:To establish the rat model of autologous transplantation endometriosis and determine the effect of 5-fluorouracil on endometriosis in rats and compare the different drug dose. Methods:The Wistar rat autologous transplantation endometriosis models were established, and the successful endometriosis rats were divided into control group,5-fluorouracil 10mg/kg group,5-fluorouracil 20mg/kg group and 5-fluorouracil 30mg/kg group. The ectopic focus volume and histomorphology were observed, and the vescularendothelial growth factor(VEGF) and micro vessel density(MVD) were observed in ectopic endometrium by immunohistochemistry(S-P technique). Results:The ectopic focus volume of each therapy group was significicantly lower compared with the control group(P0.05);The expression of VEGF and MVD of each therapy group was significantly lower than that of control group(P0.05).Conclusion:5-fluorouracil can exert an inhibitory effect on the expression of VEGF and MVD,suggesting with further understanding and and prevention of side effects of chemotherapy drug,5-fluorouracil may be a new treatment for endometriosis.
