Abstract

Usability evaluation performance is one of the cornerstones of user interface design. This study presents the usability evaluation of Apple’s Siri based on Nielsen's usability heuristics. Apple’s Siri is one of the technologies of automatic speech recognition (ASR) that allows the user to use a natural language with smartphones and smart devices. The result shows that this feature still has a problem with the user who speaks English as a second language. This study may lead the developer to provide the best voice interfaces for the user who speaks English with a different accent.
