Cyber Crime during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Key Trends and Ways to Solve the Problem
preprint
OA: closed
Abstract
The sphere of cybercrime is characterized by special difficulties in disclosing these acts due to the boundlessness of the digital space. These crimes are of a cross-border nature, which is aggravated by the inclusion of organized crime in this sphere. The complexity of the investigation also lies in the fact that there is no single international definition of cybercrime and cyber attacks. Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed the global cyberspace landscape. In this article, the authors make an attempt to determine exactly which crimes relate to cybercrime and what changes in the field of cybercrime have arisen due to the coronavirus pandemic, determine possible recommendations for combating crimes in this area.
