Abstract
Objective:To explore the effect of insulin-like growth factor Ⅱ(IGF-Ⅱ) and its receptor(insulin-like growth factor Ⅱ receptor,IGF-ⅡR) in the development of ovarian endometriosis. Methods: 24 patients underwent hysterectomy and adnexectomy from January to December in 2004,and they were all firmly diagnosed of endometriosis by pathology, and their endometria were all in the proliferative phase.Entopic endometrium of endometriosis were group A,ectopic endometrium of endometriosis were group B,and the patients of tubal infertility were group C,the entopic endometriu of group C were also in the proliferative phase.Immuno-histochemistry methods were used to detect the expression of IGF-Ⅱ/IGF-ⅡR in respective tissues. Results: In group A,the different expression of IGF-Ⅱ/IGF-ⅡR in grandular cells and in interstitial cell were without statistical significance(P0.05).There were no difference in the expression of IGF-Ⅱ/IGF-IIR between group A and group B(P0.05).While in group B,the expression of IGFⅡR in grandular cells was 9 cases more than that in interstitial cell(P0.05).In group C,the expression of IGF-ⅡR in grandular cells was more than that in interstitial cell(P0.05).Conclusion: IGF-Ⅱ/IGF-ⅡR are expressed the same in grandular cells and interstitial cells of Entopic endometrium, while IGF-Ⅱ express more in the grandular cells of ectopic endometrium, which may have something to do with the occurrence and development of ovarian endometriosis.
