Expression and Significance of TNF-α and MMP-3 in Patients with Endometriosis

Objective To investigate the expression and significanceof the TNF-α and MMP-3 in patients with endometriosis(EMs).Methods 20 cases with EMs(research group)and 20 cases with the uterine fibroid patients(control group)were selected.MMP-3 in endometrium was measured by immunohistochemistry method.Serum TNF-α and MMP-3 were measured by ELISA method.Results MMP-3 positioned mainly in the endometrial stromal cells of endometrium.The serum TNF-α and MMP-3,in research group were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.05).Expression of MMP-3 in normal endometrial proliferation was significantly stronger than that in secretory phase(P0.05).Conclusion High expression of MMP-3 in patients with EMs enhance and promote the transfer of the endometrium and infiltration.Rising of the serum TNF-α and MMP-3 promote new capillary formation and accelerated the development of EMs.
