Abstract

Objective: To analyze the clinical characteristic of patients of endometrial cancer coexisting with endometriosis or hysteromyoma, and discuss the possible relationship between them. Methods: The clinical data of endometrial cancer coexisting with endometriosis(group A,n=13) or hysteromyoma(group B,n=21) were retrospectively analyzed, and were compared with that of single endometrial cancer as control group(group C,n=20).Results: The difference in clinic-pathologic and tumor histological grades was significant(P0.005) between group A and C,or between group B and C,while no difference was found between group A and B.Conclusion: The atypical hyperplasia coexisting with endometriosis or hysteromyoma mostly belongs to estrogen-dependent tumors with well differentiation, shallow myometrial invasion and better prognosis. While single EC mostly belongs to non-estrogen-dependent tumors with poor prognosis.
