Abstract

Objective:T0 investigate the expression of the factor of regulated upon activation normal T cell (RANTES)in ectopic and eutopic endometrium of patients with endometriosis and its relevance with pathogenesis of endometriosis. Methods:A total of 30 patients with endometriosis who were hospitalized in Shanxi province maternal and children hospital from Jan 2010 to Oct 2010,were recruited as study group,in which ectopic and eutopic endometrium were divided into two subgroups. In the meantime,30 patients with normal endometrium were chosen as control group. The expressions of RANTES mRNA and protein in endometrium were measured by PCR and ELISA,respectively, and the influence of cultural supernatants to the monocyte chemoattract activity in the three groups were also investigated.Results:① The expressions of RANTES mRNA and protein in ectopic endometrium were higher than those in eutopic and normal endometrium sitimulated by IL-1β after 48 hours(P0.05).After 72 hours,The expressions of RANTES mRNA and protein in eutopic endometrium showed statistically higher than those in normal endometrium(P0.05).②The chemotactic index of monocyte cell going through matrigel membrane in ectopic and eutopic endometrium groups were markedly higher than that in normal endometrium(P0.05).Conclusions:The higher expression of RANTES in eutopic and ectopic endometrium and its influence to the chemtaxis of monocyte may be involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
