Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between TGF-β1,Smad 7 and endometriosis.Methods:30 patients with endometriosis were selected from July 2006 to April 2007,then they were divided into adhesion group(20 cases)and non-adhesion group(10 cases)according to intraoperative laparoscopy, then ectopic endometrium from group A and eutopic endometrium from group B were collected and studied,30 cases with uterine malformation at the corresponding period were selected as control group, then the normal endometrium was collected. The expression levels of TGF-β1 and Smad 7 in the three groups were detected by immunohistochemical method. Results:There was significant difference in expression levels of TGF-β1 and Smad 7 between group A,group B and group C(P0.05),but there was no significant difference between group A and group B(P0.05);there was a negative correlation between TGF-β1 expression and Smad 7 expression in group A and group B(P0.05);there was no significant difference in expression levels of TGF-β1 and Smad 7 between proliferative phase and secretory phase in the three groups, and there was no significant difference between adhesion group and non-adhesion group(P0.05).Conclusion:TGF-β1 and Smad 7 may play important roles in occurrence and development of endometriosis.
