Advancement in study on relationship between interleukin-10 and endometriosis

Up to date, the exact etiological mechanism of endometriosis (EMs) is still unclear. However, many researches supported that the disturbance of molecular mechanism in immune system is one of the key mechanisms which underlie the implantation and proliferation of ectopic endometrium.IL 10, as an important cytokine for immune regulation, participates both in humoral immunity and cell mediated immunity of patients with EMs. But relationship between IL 10 gene polymorphisms and genetic susceptibility to endometriosis still needs more investigations.
