Abstract

Endometriosis is defined with ectopic endometrial tissue, most lesions are found in the pelvis and are estrogen-dependent; with diverse clinical presentation, in which its main symptoms are dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia and infertility. Its diagnosis is made through clinical suspicion and data obtained after carrying out imaging studies dictate a possible diagnosis, however this can not be stable until a histological study of the surgically excised lesions is performed. The diagnosis is concluded by laparoscopy.
