Clinical Effectiveness of Combined Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy in Treating Infertility

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effects of combined hysteroscopy and laparoscopy in treatment of infertility. Methods Totally 236 women with infertility received the treatment of hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy,the clinical results were analyzed. Results Among 510 women with infertility,185 women had pelvic diseases and 128 had uterine cavity diseases. Pelvic adhesion (46.61%) and endometriosis (15.25%) were the major causes resulted in pelvic diseases. Endometrium abnormality (31.35%) was the major cause resulted in uterine cavity diseases. Among 236 cases,hysterosalpingraphy (HSG) was studied in 201 cases before having laparoscopy,and the results of 103 cases were coincident with laparoscopy,accounting for 51.24%. Among 236 cases,the follow-up rate was 76.69%,and 85 cases (46.96%) were conceived. Conclusions Laparoscopy combined with hysteroscopy has improved the accuracy of the diagnosis of infertility,and can implement the targeted therapy simultaneously. The therapeutic effect of pelvic or cavity of uterus diseases contributes to amelioration in infertility.
